Terms of Service

Effective date: May 17, 2026. These terms explain the rules for using Specdesk.

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, using Specdesk, subscribing, buying credits, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Specdesk is operated by Farhan Haque. You can contact us at specdesk@specdesk.ca.

These Terms are intended to apply internationally. If local consumer or privacy laws give you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.

2. Using Specdesk

Specdesk helps fashion founders create techpack drafts, including summaries, sketches, labels, materials, measurements, color information, modules, and exportable documents.

You are responsible for the information you enter, the files you upload, and the final decisions you make before sending a techpack to a factory, supplier, consultant, or manufacturer.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use online services in your country, whichever is higher.

3. Accounts and Security

You may need an account to create or continue working on techpacks, use credits, subscribe, or purchase top-up credits.

You are responsible for keeping your account login secure and for activity that happens through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Credits, Subscriptions, and Payments

Specdesk may offer one-time free signup credits, paid subscriptions, and one-time credit top-ups. Credits are used for AI-assisted work and certain paid features described in the app.

Subscription plans renew until cancelled. If you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period unless Stripe or the app states otherwise.

Top-up credits are one-time purchases. Free signup credits do not reset monthly. Subscription credits may reset monthly. Specific credit amounts and credit rules may change, but we will try to avoid surprising existing paid users.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Specdesk does not store full payment card numbers.

5. Refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable except where required by law. This includes subscriptions and one-time credit purchases.

If you believe there was a billing mistake, contact specdesk@specdesk.ca and we will review it.

6. Your Content and Designs

You keep ownership of the designs, sketches, images, text, chat messages, and techpack content you upload or create in Specdesk.

You give Specdesk permission to store, process, display, edit, and transmit your content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and use the content you provide.

7. AI Output and Factory Readiness

Specdesk uses AI to suggest wording, labels, measurements, materials, modules, and other techpack content. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.

Specdesk does not guarantee that any techpack is accurate, complete, manufacturable, compliant, or accepted by a factory. You must review, edit, and confirm all details before using a techpack for production.

Manufacturing choices such as fabric composition, print method, embroidery method, grading, tolerances, construction, safety, labeling, and legal compliance should be confirmed with qualified suppliers or professionals.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Specdesk to violate laws, infringe intellectual property rights, upload malware, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer the service, overload the service, or misuse payment, credit, or account systems.

You may not use Specdesk to create or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, or deceptive.

9. Marketing Communications

If you choose to receive marketing emails, Specdesk may send product updates, launch notes, and occasional offers.

You can unsubscribe at any time from your account settings, by using the unsubscribe page or link included in marketing emails, or by contacting specdesk@specdesk.ca.

We may still send non-marketing service messages, such as account, security, billing, verification, or transactional emails.

10. Third-Party Services

Specdesk may rely on third-party providers including Supabase for authentication and data services, Stripe for payments, Anthropic or other AI providers for AI processing, and Vercel for hosting.

Those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Specdesk at any time. We may also update features, plans, credit rules, and pricing.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date on this page will show when changes were made.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Specdesk is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind.

Specdesk and Farhan Haque are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, production issues, factory errors, or business losses arising from your use of the service.

13. Governing Law

Where permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If mandatory laws in your location give you additional rights, those rights are not limited by these Terms.
