Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 17, 2026. This policy explains how Specdesk handles personal information and design content.
This Privacy Policy applies when you use Specdesk, create an account, subscribe, buy credits, upload content, or communicate with us. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Who We Are
Specdesk is operated by Farhan Haque. You can contact us about privacy at specdesk@specdesk.ca.
This Privacy Policy is written for users in multiple countries. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, password authentication data handled by Supabase, account status, plan, and credit balance.
Design and techpack content: garment descriptions, field entries, labels, materials, measurements, stitch colors, modules, custom pages, uploaded sketches or images, and exported document content.
Chat and AI content: messages you send, answers you choose, AI-generated responses, prompts, and context needed to help build your techpack.
Payment information: Stripe customer ID, subscription status, checkout status, purchase history, and related billing metadata. Stripe processes payment card details; Specdesk does not store full card numbers.
Usage and technical information: device, browser, IP address, log data, pages visited, feature usage, errors, security events, cookies, and similar technologies.
Communications: emails or messages you send us, support requests, deletion requests, and marketing preferences.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, save techpacks, generate AI suggestions, process payments, deliver credits and subscriptions, provide support, improve the service, prevent abuse, secure the app, and comply with legal obligations.
If we send marketing emails in the future, we will use your email address and preferences to do that where permitted by law. You can opt out in Settings, from the unsubscribe page or link in marketing emails, or by emailing specdesk@specdesk.ca.
4. AI Processing
When you use AI features, relevant parts of your techpack, chat messages, uploaded-content descriptions, and recent edits may be sent to Anthropic or another AI provider so the assistant can respond.
Do not upload confidential third-party information, trade secrets, or content you are not allowed to share. AI responses should be reviewed by you before production use.
5. How We Share Information
We share information with service providers that help operate Specdesk, including Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic or other AI providers, Vercel, analytics or logging providers, and email providers if used.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and security, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your techpack designs or uploaded design files.
6. Your Content Ownership
You keep ownership of your uploaded sketches, images, garment ideas, techpack content, and design files.
Specdesk uses your content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service, or as otherwise allowed by this Policy and our Terms of Service.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Specdesk may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect sessions, measure usage, and improve the product.
8. Retention and Deletion
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
You can request account or data deletion by emailing specdesk@specdesk.ca. We may need to keep limited records where required by law, for security, billing, dispute, or backup reasons.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You should use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.
10. International Transfers
Specdesk and its service providers may process and store information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. These countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the use of your personal information, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a request, email specdesk@specdesk.ca. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
12. Children
Specdesk is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Specdesk changes. The effective date will show when the latest version applies.
